Lamb's lettuce Large North Holland is a large-leaved lamb's lettuce that can be eaten fresh or stewed. Lamb's lettuce can be grown under glass and outdoors. The plants are not winter hardy in the open ground, so it is better to sow them in a flat container or greenhouse for autumn and winter cultivation.

Sowing: for spring and summer cultivation outside in rows with approximately 15 cm spacing from early April. For late autumn cultivation, sowing is done outdoors in open ground from early August to mid-September, but for winter cultivation it is sown under glass from late September to late October. In the latter case, the seed is sown widely. Always sow lamb's lettuce densely and do not thin it out! After sowing, rake the seed lightly and compact the soil. The seedbed must be kept well moist.

Harvest: can take place virtually all year round, as long as there is no frost.
