Cultivation container-Kiemschaaltje Kweeksysteem-BS9000

You can grow the tastiest organic sprouts yourself with this handy sprouting container: quick, clean and easy. Sprouts are very healthy and tasty for bread, salads or as a garnish. The glass bowl and removable grid are easy to use and dishwasher safe.

The sprouting container is suitable for growing alfalfa, cherry basil, cherry broccoli, chives, green peas, mustard, turnips, radish 'Daikon', radish 'Sango purple', red cabbage, rocket cherry and garden cress.

Instructions:

Fill the germination container with tap water. The water should only touch the grid. Sprinkle the seeds thinly on the grid and, if necessary, moisten carefully with a plant sprayer. Place the seed container in a bright place, but not in direct sunlight.

Check the water level daily and top up the grate if necessary. It is important that the seeds do not dry out until the roots have emerged. Change the water if it becomes cloudy. It is easiest to do this when the seeds have small roots and are already attached to the trellis.

Rotate the seed tray regularly to ensure the plants grow upright. Micro herbs/sprouts can be harvested after 5 days to 3 weeks. The cultivation time depends on the type of sprouts, but also on your own taste. Try for yourself at which stage the seedlings taste best.

Wash the sprouts under running water before use. Some are eaten raw, but the safest choice is to heat the sprouts beforehand. This can be done by immersing them in boiling water for 5 seconds or by frying them well with the meal (source: nutrition center). After harvesting, clean the sprouting container thoroughly with dishwashing liquid or in the dishwasher. Make sure the germination tray is completely clean at the start of each crop.

Size of the germination pot: diameter 13 cm
